Müzik dünyamla ilgili kurduğum hayallerden biri daha gerçekleşti. Souad Massi ile röportaja giderkenki hissettiklerimden bile daha güçlü hissettim. Yine Souad ile aynı memleketten Cezayir’den Mona Boutchebak ile tanıştım. 2008 yılı gibiydi sanırım, belki de daha evvel, Mona’nın “Sekna” şarkısını dinlemiştim. Şarkı, Putumayo Women of the World: Acoustic Music albümünde yer alıyordu. Söyleyen sese ve melodiye bitmiştim, 50’den fazla dinledikten sonra tüm interneti talan ettim ama şarkı sözlerini bulamadım. ( Şarkı sözlerine takık bir insan olduğumu anlamışsınızdır.) Böyle güzel bir şarkı ne anlatıyordu acaba? Sonrasında last.fm’de Mona’nın hesabına denk geldim, MySpace’te sayfasını buldum. Mesaj atıp sözlerini rica ettim ve cevap verdi :) Sonrasında Facebook’a da ekledim ve sözler elime ulaştı. Böylesine sevdiğim bir şarkıyı söyleyen sanatçıyla kişisel iletişim kurmanın mutluluğunu yaşadım.
Mona’dan bahsedecek olursak, 1978 yılı Cezayir doğumlu bir müzisyen ve şarkıcıdır. Konservatuarı bitirdikten sonra Arap-Endülüs müziği ile ilgili eğitim alır. Kuitra ve ud çalar.
Les Orientales, Marseille Marseille gibi projelerin içinde yer alır ve 2014 sonlarına doğru yepyeni bir projeyle karşımıza çıkacak.
2012 yılında, kız kardeşi Houda Istanbul’a geldiğinde, onunla buluşmuştuk; ben de geçen hafta Marsilya’ya gidince Mona ile tanışma fırsatına eriştim. Ne büyük bir mutluluk! Birlikte neler mi yaptık? Yemek yedik, sohbet ettik, içkilerimizi yudumladık ve en önemlisi şarkı söyledik! :) Tabii ki de benim favorimi:
I do not know how to feel after accomplishing another musical life goal. It was back in 2008 I believe or even before when I first got to listen to the song “Sekna“. The song was in Putumayo Women of the World: Acoustic Music, I was totally in love with the voice and the melody and had no idea about the lyrics. (You know I am obsessed with them). After listening the song for over 50 times I was in search for the lyrics everywhere, you know it is a bit hard to find Arabic songs’ lyrics… I came across to Mona’s profile on last.fm and then found her on MySpace asked for the lyrics and she REPLIED! I also added her on Facebook and she sent my the lyrics. I was very happy to have a personal contact with the person whose song I really love!
Talking about Mona, Mona Boutchebak, is an Algerian musician and singer, who studied Arab-Analucian Music. She plays the kuitra and the oud. She had many projects such as Les Orientales and Marseille Marseille and now coming up with a new project in autumn, fingers crossed!
In 2012 I met her sister during her trip to Istanbul and last week I was in Marseille and I was able to meet Mona in person. What a bless :) I feel very lucky to meet such a talent! What have we done? We talked and talked, had some drinks and yes we sang together! :) Of course my favourite song of hers.
