I am a huge Fado fan! You might have realized it if you have read some previous posts about the concerts I have been to. I am very glad to have witnessed performances of Mariza, Cristina Branco, Ana Moura in Istanbul. However Fado is very sad…It is very melancholic and it is not a good depression remedy! Saudade, saudade…This is Portugal!
And BOOM, a Portuguese song gets very popular last summer. Sorry, Brazilian Portuguese :) Because it is WAY different. With the tunes of the accordion, we hear a really cheerful music; may be a sip of Balkan music? Sorta!
Of course I am talking about Ai se eu te pego! This craziness continued with Balada… You do not need to understand the words really, Portuguese starts to sound very different suddenly. I first noticed this with “bossa nova”. And now Sertanejo…I always thought Portuguese sounded a bit Slavic, I don’t know why. When in France, I was watching a Portuguese TV Channel ( I did not know it then), I was trying to understand the language. I really thought it was Slavic until the moment that I hear a latin word. I was surprised and shocked. Then I had many Portuguese friends, so I get used to the way they speak.
These world famous songs have another common trait. They always imply sex. They just “imply”, not like American Hip-hop, verbalizing it frankly. They say “oh If I catch you” ( you know what comes next, huh? :) ), or they say “I want to have fun with you ’till the sun rises ;) and make “tchê tcherere tchê tchê”. I feel like this trend started with Tarkan’s “Şımarık”. He was singing “if I catch you, muck muck”. We are very polite people. Lastly, at least Michel Teló is a baby face; but I do not understand how this Gusttavo guy gets so much attention! I think he made a right decision with growing beard! :)
Anyways, however lame the lyrics can be, I really like listening to these songs, to boost my motivation they work really good!
Portekizce müzik denince aklıma hep hüzünlü şarkılar gelirdi Fado’dan ötürü. Daha sonra Bossa Nova ile bunu kırmıştım. Daha Chill-Out…Fakat bu yeni nesil Sertanejo şarkıcıları beni benden aldı. 7’den 70’e eğlendirebilir mi bu şarkılar ya? Gangnam Style ne kadar daha fazla izlenilmiş olursa olsun, bence hiçbir şekilde assim você me mata kadar eğlenceli değil :) Ben özellikle de akordeonun etkisinin çok olduğunu düşünüyorum bu enerji veren müzikte. Belki de ondan dolayıdır Balkan müziğine benzetiyorum. Bir Shantel de akordeonlu şarkısıyla patlama yaşamadı mı? Onun dışında “tchê tcherere tchê tchê” nin Türkçe karşılığını buldum, tam olarak “aganigi naganigi”. Şarkının tercümesini okursanız hak vereceksiniz. Yine de Gusttavo Lima lakaplı gencimiz meşhur olduğu videoda gerçekten çok çelimsiz duruyor. ekşisözlük‘te o kadar komik yorumlar yapmışlar ki, gülmek için okuyabilirsiniz. Daha sonra sakal filan bırakmış, biraz daha oturmuş yüz hatları bu şekilde. Hani Michel Teló bebek yüzlü filan minyon olsa da kurtarıyor.
