A Turkish folk song , taking its roots from Artvin, the city where my grandmother ( this time fathersmother) comes from. The Hopa part, the dark pink on top =). I dont know why but I feel very attached to this song, and this music. In Turkish we call this ‘ kan çekiyor’ , which I cannot translate into English and according to Isha who is a linguist, it cannot be translated in any language he knows. So I describe it , it is a feeling when you like something, it attracts you somehow and then afterwards you find out, it has got something to do with your roots, your blood, your origin. I feel exactly so for this song.

The Laz version is kind of catchy. And i must admit i’d never heard of the Laz people before, so…..yeah….ṫhanks to your blog i’ve just learned something new tonight!! :D
