This visually striking museum, established in 1888 by Carl Jacobsen, the son of the founder of Carlsberg Breweries, boasts an extensive collection of ancient Mediterranean sculptures from Greece, Rome, and Egypt. Additionally, it features a significant modern collection, including the largest assembly of Auguste Rodin’s works outside France. The museum also houses a collection of French Impressionist and Danish Golden Age paintings.
Visitors are welcomed by a subtropical winter garden, complete with towering palm trees, a fountain, and a fish pond.
