Sabahın 10:30’unda geldi kara haber. Paco hayatını kaybetmiş; 66 yaşında Meksika’da Cancun’da plajda kalp krizi geçirerek. Daha erken değil miydi? Daha verilecek çok konser vardı. Tarifsiz üzgünüm. Bir kere bile canlı dinleyememiş olmaya mı yanayım, her seferinde kıl payı kaçırmaya mı… Yukarıdaki resimde 2010 yılında Barselona konserinin afişini görüyorsunuz ve ben konseri 2 gün ile kaçırıyorum. En son 30-31 Mayıs 2013’te Cemal Reşit Rey’e geliyordu. Ben bu sefer en önden biletimi almıştım; garantiydi. Bu sefer de Gezi olayları patladı ve orda ülkenin kaderi değişiyorken konsere gitmek istemedim. Biletleri annemle babama verdim, onlar seyrettiler. Çok da beğendiler… Yine gelir nasıl olsa dedim; Türkiye gelmediği ülke değil. Ama artık gelemeyecek… Çok üzgünüm…

I received the sad news in the morning at 10:30, I have been sad all the day. Time to time with tears in my eyes, trying to commemorate him with his songs. Paco lost his life at the age of 66 in Mexico due to a heart attack. Above you see his Barcelona concert’s poster of 2010. I was an Erasmus student then and visiting Barcelona for holiday, missed the concert with 2 days. I said OK, he would come to Turkey, and good news, two concerts planned for 30-31 May 2013 in Cemal Resit Rey Concert Hall. I got two ringside seats. And boom Gezi protests! How could I ever go to a concert when the fate of my country was changing. Even if he’s Paco… So I gave the tickets to my parents, they went instead of me and I went to the demonstration. I comforted myself saying he would come again, he comes here often… I am so sad now…
