Bir Ülke Değişirken / Tanzimattan Cumhuriyete Türk Resmi Sergisi /“Turkish Painting from the Ottoman Reformation to the Republic”
This was another chance for me to see works from Turkish artists expanding from 1830s to 1920s… So almost a century. There are even some royal family members among the exhibited artists. I guess I was more charmed with this “Middle East” vibe paintings rather than the modern ones, because there were even “Nude” paintings by Halil Paşa in the exhibition. You can find the free catalog of the exhibition from the museum’s digital publications.
